INSTALLATION:
Center the kayak rack on top of the vehicle crossbar. Assemble the bolts, bracket, flat washers, and locknuts.
Turn the two adjustable locking handles to lift and rotate rack to appropriate position and lock it.
Load the kayak on the J-bar, route the strap around the top of racks. Pull and route both the buckle end to tighten the kayak.

This is good, and it does what I wanted - it's easy to install and very well built and sturdy. The ONLY complaint that I have (Criticism?) is that I wish that it installed more seamlessly into the T-Bar system on my (same brand) SyneticUSA Cargo Rack. I understand that they wanted to make it universal, and the way they designed the supports, you could put it on any cross-bar system. So if you have a Thule or whatever comes with your vehicle, still should work. The ability to fold down the center bar makes it really versatile, so that's an excellent feature. Carried my 10-foot kayak home from the store without any issues whatsoever.
