Toyota Tundra (5.5ft Bed) MB Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover

Got this for my husbands Tundra and he loves it. Took a little time to install and one certain part you’ll need small hands to screw something into place. You can open it with one finger and the lock works great. My dad has the previous version and is wanting to replace his because he likes the locking system better than the last version. You can’t see the cover when rolled up so has very clean lines! Highly recommend!

Wife got this for me for Christmas. Had to disassemble twice as instructions don’t tell you how much to leave out before installing rails. First I thought it was the locks I didn’t see go in the canister. Got those over but there is a metal stop bar further back. Make sure to have that out in front. Bc of this I had to buy new bolt covers for the front as they broke after the first disassemble. The back flap for the tailgate should be a little longer I feel as it still lets water in right at the tailgate. I can’t move back anymore or I won’t be able to close the tailgate.

I have a 2016 Toyota Tundra short bed. After I installed the unit I kept getting a lot of noise, I was ready to return the bed cover. It was driving me nuts. On my last nerve, I rolled the back window down and saw that it was the rubber flap. I trimmed the flap, now it Is quite and I am happy.

I had a ReTrax cover before on another truck. Absolutely loved it. Money being tight right now (darn teenagers keep bleeding me dry!) I decided to give this a try because we’re going on a trip and I didn’t want rain soaking my luggage. So far it looks pretty good as you can see in the pictures. We’ll see how it holds up! Okay, that’s the positive aspect. Now for the negative: The instructions are TERRIBLE and don’t show key details. Also some of the parts don’t match the pictures. I spent hours trying to figure out what to do with the rubber flap part. It did not match the instructions or the video. I did NOT want it poking out looking like some DIY crappy job. I finally decided just to sort of fold it under. Seems like that was the best option. I’m a little curious to see if the clamps will hold too. Time will tell I guess. Took me about 5 hours total - most of that trying to figure stuff out that didn’t match the instructions. Actual assembly time was probably 90 minutes once I decided to do whatever I was gonna do. Halfway through I felt like throwing in the towel and returning the darn thing. Powered through with a few curse words and finished it.
