Tips and Guidelines on Manual Retractable Locks

For our manual retractable tonneau covers, models SyneTrac and SyneTrac-Pro, there are various causes to having a dysfunctional lock, such as mishandling or misusing, impact to the item, or even just a bad rubber. Nonetheless, if you have read our previous blog post about How to remove Lock Protector, you should know already how to change the lock to a new one. If your cover did not come with the lock protector, watch the video to see how you would remove the lock. Please note that the screws on the lock you have may not look exactly the same as the one shown in the video.

Additionally, should you feel it is getting somewhat difficult, or impossible, to lock and close the cover on the tailgate, the most likely cause would be your lock hitting the stopper.
